As a professional cycling team of athletes with type 1 diabetes, TNN not only races on the road but also races to inspire and educate. Our mission was to revamp the website, infuse fresh aesthetics, speed, and performance, all while aligning with their impactful mission.
We worked with Team Novo Nordisk to create a new website that is faster, easier on the eyes, and intuitive to use. The old website was not working well and did not reflect TNN’s mission to inspire and educate people about type 1 diabetes.
The project included a complete overhaul of the homepage, incorporating fresh graphic elements and a dynamic layout. We carefully crafted the content, focusing on TNN’s mission, research, history, and their remarkable 100-year legacy. The updated design features custom animations and a modern aesthetic that better aligns with the team’s values.
Custom post types (CPTs) played a pivotal role in our strategy to enhance Team Novo Nordisk’s online presence and streamline their website management. Here’s how we utilized CPTs to address specific challenges and achieve their goals:
TNN needed a user-friendly way to manage diverse content across their website, from race updates to team member profiles. CPTs enabled us to design a seamless content management experience. Content managers can now effortlessly update and publish content without the need for technical expertise.
Uniformity and professionalism were paramount for TNN’s online image. Building with custom post types ensures that content across the website maintains a consistent appearance for the long term. Predefined fields and templates guaranteed that each piece of content adhered to the desired standards and structure.
Maintaining an engaging blog is essential for TNN to engage with their audience. Custom post types streamlined the process, enabling content managers to easily create, edit, and publish blog posts in a way that ensures each piece of content shows up on the right page. This efficient workflow boosted their ability to share timely updates and stories about their mission.
Recognizing the importance of accessibility across all devices when fans and staff are on the go, we engineered the new TNN website to be fully responsive for all screen sizes. This fix was a long time coming and now TNN advocates, sponsors, and supporters enjoy a seamless user experience across all devices.
These milestones each contributed to the digital transformation of TNN

Our journey with Team Novo Nordisk transformed their website into a more robust platform that effectively communicates their mission and engages their audience. Our collaborative journey doesn’t conclude with this achievement. We built their site with the long-term in mind, ensuring their site is a stable, scalable foundation for any future site updates and enhancements. In fact, our team has already completed one round of design updates since the site launch and it’s almost time for another! Whether it’s refining existing features or exploring new possibilities, we look forward to supporting this passion-fueled organization.
