To modernize DZ’s online presence, they wanted a new look that would preserve their rich heritage while catering to their new tech-savvy members. These unique digital challenges called for unique digital solutions. And that’s why DZ called us.
We worked with Delta Zeta to reimagine their whole digital experience from top to bottom starting with a full design overhaul, seamless content management with custom post types, SEO and much more.
The design overhaul drew inspiration from Delta Zeta’s iconic symbols. We crafted a floral-themed design, adorned with the organization’s official flower, the rose, to celebrate their heritage while creating an engaging experience for all members. This design approach contributed to the website’s award-winning status, with judges praising its strong branding.
Custom post types (CPTs) offer a structured way to manage content beyond standard posts and pages, improving flexibility and ease of updates. By converting board member profiles, award pages, podcasts, and blogs into CPTs, we eliminated issues with broken pages, content deletion, and redirects.
The “35 Under 35” list honors 35 accomplished alumni each year. We built CPTs for templates that cover all years, lists, and individuals on the list. To add a new year or individual, fill in individual fields in the backend, and pages automatically generate custom-designed templates.
DZ also got custom post types for their Women We Know podcast. These post types were designed to be straightforward, featuring fields for titles, descriptions, and links to audio files. The CPTs provide an organized structure and workflow for managing podcast content effectively – with A+ aesthetics.
The Board of Trustees and the National Council are crucial to DZ’s success. With custom post types, we made it easy to manage profile information such as alma mater, title, and feature photos. These roles are designated on an annual or bi-annual basis so CPTs help manage all the moving parts.
We didn’t want to build Delta Zeta a site that just looked good. We built a site that brings in traffic, tells their story through their unique voice and puts out the right call to actions to deliver the exact results they want.
Strategically placed calls-to-action (CTAs) throughout the website simplified the donation process, encouraging increased contributions. These CTAs also enhanced the website’s SEO by improving user engagement, click-through rates, and other key user metrics.
Beyond design and backend updates, we also rewrote all DZ’s web copy. The goal was to infuse DZ’s unique voice and style into a refreshed, more reader-friendly narrative. Sections like About Us and Service & Philanthropy now showcase everything the organization is all about.
Our SEO specialists optimized the entire website, addressing website speed, on-page SEO, technical SEO, conducting keyword research, and developing an SEO-friendly content strategy. These improvements contributed to increased website traffic, as noted by the award judges.
