Atlanta web agency delivers a rebuilt room-booking experience for the hospitality-forward coworking brand as it expands into its third market
ALPHARETTA, GA – July 9, 2026 – Clockwork Web Dev, an Atlanta-based web development agency, announces the launch of a rebuilt Book a Room platform for Roam, the coworking and meeting space company serving professionals across Metro Atlanta, Dallas, TX, and Greenville, SC. The booking platform is where prospective clients search, filter, and reserve meeting spaces across all Roam locations. It is also, by the team’s own account, the highest revenue-generating section of their website. As the brand has grown to more than 100,000 square feet of workspace across three markets, the booking experience needed to keep pace.
Clockwork’s relationship with Roam goes back to 2017, when the agency took over web maintenance after the original developer stepped away. In 2020, Clockwork rebuilt the Roam website from the ground up, giving the team a stable, manageable website they could update on their own. A subsequent engagement with another firm added 42 plugins to the site. Many were reliant on one another and updates in one place caused cascading errors.
Clockwork came back in to address these issues. Rather than patching the existing setup, the team rebuilt the booking platform and consolidated the entire booking functionality plugin stack into a single custom-built plugin designed for long-term stability and easier maintenance going forward.
The previous platform had also grown harder to use on both ends. Visitors struggled to filter down to the right room, and Roam’s sales team lacked the tools to direct clients to what they needed. The rebuild improves stability and performance while adding functionality that gives the sales team more control over how they present and share available spaces.
“Clockwork has been a trusted website partner for many years,” said Morgan Godbold, Director of Marketing at Roam. “Their team consistently delivers excellent work and offers clear communication throughout any website project or maintenance update. The Clockwork team is a joy to work with as they truly feel like partners who are invested in what we are building and want to see us succeed. After recently experiencing issues with a booking-focused subsite built by another team, Clockwork stepped in with thoughtful solutions that worked well for both our clients and our sales team. The rebuild gave us a stronger, more scalable foundation as we continue growing into new markets.”
The timing also lined up with Roam’s expansion into South Carolina. Clockwork made sure Greenville ONE, the brand’s first location in the state, was properly integrated into the platform’s location structure so the new market showed up correctly in search filters and on the map at launch. This required working within and updating Roam’s existing custom post type architecture. Custom post types are a WordPress tool that lets the Clockwork team design a location or room template once, so Roam’s team can add or update locations and rooms without any coding or developer involvement.
Key features and improvements delivered in the rebuild include:
- Ground-up booking platform rebuild addressing stability and performance issues across Metro Atlanta, Dallas, and Greenville
- Consolidation of 42 plugins into a single custom-built plugin for long-term stability and easier maintenance
- Dynamic URL filtering allowing the sales team to build and share pre-filtered room searches directly with clients
- Speed and performance improvements with a focus on mobile load times
- Updated location structure in custom post types for the new Greenville ONE market
- Homepage room ordering tool giving Roam simple control over which rooms are featured and in what order
“Roam’s booking platform is where interest turns into revenue, so getting the experience right really matters,” said Aaron Reimann, CEO of Clockwork Web Dev. “The rebuild wasn’t about changing the look. It was about making sure the tool worked the way the sales team and their clients needed it to, and that it would stay that way as they keep adding new markets like South Carolina as well as new room types to match their growth.”
Clockwork has served as a long-term web development partner for Roam across their main marketing site and booking platform.
